Jordan is a biomedical entrepreneur and engineer with extensive experience in medical device development, innovation, and company leadership. He began his career at Boston Scientific in Minnesota, where he advanced through a rigorous rotational program encompassing roles in Design Assurance, Operations and Manufacturing Engineering, and Process Development. As an R&D engineer, he contributed to the launch of a Class III combination device through FDA and European submissions, pioneered advanced arterial models for stent delivery testing, and conducted in-depth market and product analyses to support device innovation.

Jordan later founded and served as CEO of VeinWay Ltd., a venture focused on solutions for chronic venous occlusions. Over five years, he led the company through successful fundraising rounds totaling $3.2 million, developed early prototypes, and managed a multidisciplinary team that delivered highly impactful compassionate use cases. Jordan is recognized for cultivating a collaborative company culture and guiding his team through both growth and adversity. He is passionate about leadership, learning, and advancing healthcare technologies. Jordan holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Healthcare Innovation from the Interdisciplinary College in Herzliya, Israel, completed in 2021.

Dr. David Knapp is a leader in medical device development and exploratory research, with over 20 years of experience advancing solutions for unmet clinical needs in coronary, cardiovascular, and pulmonary medicine. Known for his relentless pursuit of meaningful innovation, Dr. Knapp has guided teams in the discovery, development, and commercialization of transformative vascular products and has championed collaborative efforts and partnerships to accelerate the translation of novel technologies from the laboratory to patient care. He has held multiple roles at Boston Scientific, including Vice President of Vascular R&D for Peripheral Interventions, where he led the design, development, and launch of multiple technologies that have significantly impacted patient outcomes worldwide.

Dr. Knapp also served as President of the Board for the Boston Scientific Foundation, Executive Sponsor of the Employee Resource Group for Disabilities in Minnesota, and a member of the Boston Scientific Health Advisory Panel. He actively contributes to the broader biomedical ecosystem, holding advisory positions with the University of Michigan, University of Minnesota, and Johns Hopkins University, as well as the Board of Regenerative Medicine Minnesota. Dr. Knapp holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, where he is recognized as a Fellow and Industrial Advisor for the Institute for Engineering in Medicine.

Gregg Pollack is a seasoned healthcare technology executive with broad leadership experience spanning operations, finance, and strategic innovation. He formerly served as President and CEO of MorCare LLC, where he directed all functional areas from Sales and Marketing to IT, Product Management, and Professional Services, delivering vital quality and risk management solutions to hospitals and health systems nationwide. Under his leadership, MorCare advanced initiatives in population health management, bundled payments, and readmission management, supporting organizations across the continuum of care. Gregg also led ExtendedCare Solutions as CEO, developing advanced, video-rich communications platforms to transform virtual care and enhance patient experiences in both acute and post-acute settings.

Ben is an accomplished medical device engineer and innovator with more than 15 years of experience in developing advanced technologies for cardiovascular, spinal, and structural heart applications. He most recently joined Sub-Q Bionics after co-founding VeinWay alongside Jordan and serving as its CTO. Ben’s career encompasses contributions across startup and established environments, including the design and development of implants for minimally invasive spinal orthopedics at Nuvasive, and extensive work on nitinol-based cardiovascular devices and transcatheter delivery systems as the first employee and Senior Development Engineer at Restore Medical. There, he was instrumental in bringing the Contraband System from concept to clinical trial, and he is listed on six issued and pending patents for his inventions.

Ben is recognized for his technical expertise in nitinol and catheter design, as well as his deep knowledge of the medical device start-up landscape. He has led projects from ideation through clinical validation, demonstrating a strong ability to navigate both technical and business challenges in bringing new therapies to market. Ben holds a B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), an M.Sc. in Biotechnology Engineering from Ben Gurion University, and an MBA in Healthcare Innovation from Reichman University.

Aaron is general counsel of Yeda, the technology transfer company of the Weizmann Institute of Science, a role which gives him ample opportunity to fulfill his passion for technology spinouts.

Aaron holds an LL.B. from Tel Aviv University, a MBA from Hebrew University, and is licensed to practice law in Israel and New York. Before joining Yeda, he served as general counsel of two publicly traded technology companies, and was an associate lawyer at one of Israel’s leading law firms.

Sapir Dorkam

Sapir Dorkam is a Project Manager at Sub-Q Bionics, where she plays a key role across R&D, pre-clinical studies, and product development. She works closely with engineering, clinical teams, and external partners, translating complex requirements into structured and actionable development plans, and driving progress across multiple workstreams. She is particularly focused on bridging technical development with real clinical needs to ensure practical and effective solutions.

Prior to joining Sub-Q Bionics, Sapir worked in the medical device industry as a V&V Projects Manager and Mechanical Engineer. She led verification and validation efforts, supported FDA and CE marking submissions, and worked closely with cross-functional teams throughout product development and manufacturing transfer. Sapir holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University.

Dr. Brian Berkowitz is a Full Professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. He specializes in numerical modeling and laboratory experimentation related to all aspects of fluid dynamics, chemical transport, geochemistry and multiphase phenomena in porous media, particularly in soils, geological formations, and biological media. He has developed a parallel research program applying his expertise to medical research and applications, particularly in the field of endourology. Dr. Lior Heller

Dr. Lior Heller is a board-certified plastic and general surgeon recognized for his expertise in body contouring, reconstructive surgery following oncologic resection, and aesthetic surgery. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Assaf Harofeh (Shamir) Medical Center and maintains an active academic and clinical presence both in Israel and internationally. Dr. Heller has held faculty appointments and senior positions at leading institutions, including MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and Baylor College of Medicine, where he was responsible for teaching and mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has organized and taught surgical courses and anatomy workshops, and is renowned for introducing advanced surgical techniques and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.

Throughout his career, Dr. Heller has been deeply involved in academic leadership, curriculum development, and clinical training, earning the rank of Professor at Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributed chapters to textbooks, and presented research at national and international conferences. His innovative work spans minimally invasive and microsurgical procedures, with a particular focus on complex reconstructions and facial rejuvenation. Dr. Dafna Sofrin

Dafna Politi Sophrin is an experienced physiotherapist specializing in lymphedema care and rehabilitation. Since 2000, she has owned and directed Physio Clinic Ltd. in Ra’anana, where she leads a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists with expertise in lymphedema management and neurological rehabilitation. In addition to her clinical work, Dafna oversees the adjustment and sale of orthopedic and lymphedema-related dressings and accessories, supporting comprehensive patient care.

Previously, Dafna managed and worked in a private lymphedema clinic in Holon, and began her career as a physiotherapist at the Geolim Institute of the Clalit Health Fund in Jaffa. Her leadership extends to the professional guidance of colleagues within her clinic. Dafna’s commitment to education and community began early, with military service as a tour guide at the Har Meron Field School for the Society for the Protection of Nature. Dafna holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in physiotherapy from Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Daniel Kedar

Dr. Daniel Kedar is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with comprehensive training from Tel Aviv University and advanced fellowship experience in microsurgery and lymphedema at Asan Medical Center in Seoul. He currently leads the Complex Reconstruction Service at Tel Aviv Medical Center and manages a private practice specializing in both aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. Dr. Kedar has performed over 250 lymphatic surgeries, including lymphovenous and lymph node venous anastomoses, frequently utilizing ICG and ultrasound guidance, with a particular focus on lymphedema prevention and treatment for cancer patients. He also serves as a medical advisor in lymphedema care for industry collaborators.

Deeply invested in academic research and innovation, Dr. Kedar’s clinical expertise extends to peripheral nerve regeneration, facial paralysis, and complex soft tissue reconstruction. He has published in leading medical journals—including recent work on breast cancer–related lymphedema and ICG-guided surgery—and is a frequent presenter at national and international medical conferences. Dr. Yushi Suzuki

Dr. Yushi Suzuki is a board-certified plastic surgeon and microsurgeon currently serving as Project Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan. His clinical and academic journey has included progressive roles at leading institutions, culminating in his current faculty appointment at Keio, where he is deeply involved in advancing surgical and imaging innovations for lymphatic disorders.

Dr. Suzuki’s primary research interests center on lymphedema surgery, with a focus on supermicrosurgical techniques and novel imaging modalities such as photoacoustic lymphangiography. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters on advanced lymphatic imaging, and his contributions have been recognized by multiple academic awards, including the Best Paper Award from Archives of Plastic Surgery and Academic Encouragement Awards from the Japan Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Janie Finn

Janie is a passionate patient advocate and lymphedema survivor whose personal journey through breast cancer and lymphedema inspires her work with Sub-Q Bionics. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 after a delayed MRI and extensive treatment—including chemotherapy, double mastectomy, and removal of 13 lymph nodes—Janie developed lymphedema two years later. She has managed her condition with persistence and a “take charge of her own health” mentality, navigating cumbersome therapies like pneumatic compression devices and overcoming challenges such as recurrent cellulitis and swelling, yet refusing to let these setbacks limit her lifestyle or outlook. Janie’s experience with restrictive devices and her desire for more flexible solutions motivate her support of Sub-Q’s mission to help patients live more freely with lymphedema.

Professionally, Janie is the President and Founder of Finnesse Partners, LLC, bringing over 40 years of experience as a medical device executive recruiter and consultant. She has worked extensively across the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries—leading Hudson’s Healthcare Practice for over 25 years, recruiting for key roles from individual contributors to C-suite executives, and consulting with top companies on talent management and organizational growth. Janie’s dual perspective as a patient and industry expert makes her a uniquely powerful advocate for innovation in lymphedema care. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University and is a certified woman business owner, with a long history of board and volunteer leadership in healthcare.

Dr. Antonios Gasparis

MD, FACS

Dr. Gasparis is a distinguished vascular surgeon who served as an attending physician at Stony Brook University Medical Center from 2003 to 2023, where he founded the Stony Brook Vein Center and established the hospital’s first office-based lab. He held numerous leadership positions during his tenure, including Medical Director and Assistant Chief Medical Officer, and specialized in developing comprehensive venous care services. In 2023, Dr. Gasparis was appointed System Chief for Venous Disease at Northwell Health, where he leads efforts to build and standardize a system-wide venous program across the New York Metro area.

He has served as President of both the American Venous Forum and the Hellenic Medical Society, and has advised major medical device companies and startups in the venous field. Dr. Gasparis’s research interests include all aspects of venous disease and lymphedema, and he has authored over 85 publications and delivered hundreds of lectures at national and international conferences. He is also the co-director of the Venous Symposium, one of the world’s largest annual meetings in the field. Dr. Gasparis received his undergraduate degree from New York University, his M.D. from SUNY HSC at Syracuse, and completed his general surgery residency at SUNY Syracuse, as well as vascular and endovascular surgery fellowships at SUNY Stony Brook and Texas Tech.

Dr. Matthias Witt

Mathias Witt MD PhD is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a specialized focus on reconstructive lymphatic surgery. He serves as Section Lead for Reconstructive Lymph Surgery at St. Rochus Hospital in Castrop-Rauxel, Germany, where his clinical work centers on supermicrosurgical treatment of primary and secondary lymphedema, including novel minimal-invasive approaches.

Dr. Witt combines extensive hands-on surgical experience with an academic background in translational and reconstructive medicine. As a consultant, he contributes clinical expertise to the development and optimization of surgical solutions in lymphedema care, supporting the translation of innovative technologies into safe and effective clinical practice.

Dr. Vahe Fahradyan

Vahe Fahradyan, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and Surgical Director of the Lymphedema Center. Following completion of his plastic surgery residency, he pursued extensive research and clinical fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, Cleveland Clinic, and Mount Sinai, with advanced training across multiple areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery. His fellowship experience included reconstructive microsurgery, craniofacial surgery, and gender-affirming surgery, providing a broad foundation in complex reconstruction and microsurgical techniques. At Mayo Clinic, his clinical practice encompasses complex reconstructive surgery and microsurgery, with particular expertise in breast reconstruction, lymphatic reconstruction, and the surgical management of lymphedema.

Dr. Fahradyan is actively engaged in clinical innovation, multidisciplinary research, and education in reconstructive surgery. His academic work spans lymphatic surgery and imaging, reconstructive microsurgery, breast reconstruction, and pelvic and perineal reconstruction. A major focus of his current research is advancing lymphatic imaging and surgical strategies to improve the diagnosis, staging, prevention, and treatment of lymphedema.
